Duration: 6 hours (in-class)
Description: Real-world scenarios often call on children to respond to challenges. The Stay Safe! program teaches applicable and age-appropriate skills, while increasing and reinforcing a youth’s capacity to improve his or her own safety. Whether in their community or on their own, this group will be given better tools to Stay Safe! in a variety of different situations.
Course Content includes: The importance of responsibility and respect and being accountable for yourself, The importance of following safety rules when on your own, How to stay safe at home and within the community, How to prepare for, recognize and respond to unexpected situations (e.g., inclement weather, fire). Basic First-Aid skills include: How and when to call EMS 911, Check, Call & Care as well as First-Aid skills including: How to manage deadly bleeds, nose bleeds, choking, epipens and asthma.

Parents - PLEASE BE ADVISED if you register your child:
- Please register using your child's name under "Participant Name" and use your personal name for the payment details when paying with your credit card. - Please drop your child off 15 minutes prior to the start of the course. Pick up is at the time indicated on your chosen date.
- Please pack your child(ren) a lunch and indoor shoes. Children are not allowed to leave for lunch unless with a parent.
