Babysitting course (Canadian Red Cross)
Description: The Canadian Red Cross Babysitter Course is for 12 (must be turning 12 within 3 months of training **Proof of age is required) to 15 year olds that are interested in the business of babysitting.
This course provides the skills needed to recognize and respond to emergency situations. Participants learn how to provide care to younger children in a variety of age groups, developmental stages of children. This course also offers youth the training to promote themselves as a babysitter to prospective parents. Basic First-Aid skills are discussed ( minor cuts, deadly bleeds, choking for infant and child, how to use an Epipen & asthma devices) and Hands-Only CPR training is included.
Parents please drop your child off between 8:15 and 8:30 and Pick up is at 4:00pm
Please pack your child(ren) a lunch and indoor shoes. Children are not allowed to leave for lunch unless with a parent.
Completion Requirements: 100% attendance & skills demonstration.
Duration: Approximately 7.5 Hours.
Certification: Upon Completion, you will receive Canadian Red Cross Babysitter manual & certificate.
