PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
Description:
This two-day course is designed for registered healthcare professionals. The course introduces diagnostic and therapeutic interventions for the prevention, assessment and treatment of respiratory and cardiac arrest in infants and children.Prerequisites:

2)Must complete pre-course self assessment. Login to your H & S account by clicking on the following link: https://cpr.heartandstroke.ca/s/pals
- Must be familiar with rhythm interpretation and basic resuscitation pharmacology - Please email completed Pre-Test and copy of your BLS Provider certification to Courses@Canadian-Training.ca
Prerequisites:
1) To enrol in the PALS Provider RENEWAL course Must have CURRENT/VALID Heart & Stroke Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certification and PALS Provider Certification. Online registration at www.Canadian-Training.ca (click on Heart & Stroke Courses) or by phone at (204) 233-2328 ex 205. Please note if you have registered for a renewal course are not eligible there will be a 10% processing fee.
Please email a copy of your current BLS & PALS Provider certifications to Courses@Canadian-Training.ca with registration.
*Please be advised: Only active healthcare providers whose training and scope of practice include a knowledge base encompassing the foundation of PALS knowledge and skill may enrol in the PALS course.
Completion Requirements: 100% attendance plus students must pass a written exam and skills test in order to qualify for an PALS Course Completion Card.
Certification: 2-Year PALS Course Completion Card
Duration: Approximately 15 hours over two days for PALS Provider course and 8 hours for the PALS Renewal course.
