ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) Provider

(Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada)

Description: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is an advanced, instructor-led classroom course that highlights the importance of team management of a cardiac arrest, team dynamics and communication, systems of care and immediate post-cardiac-arrest care. Specific skills in airway management and related pharmacology are also featured. Skills are taught through discussion and group learning, while testing stations offer case-based scenarios using simulators.

Pre-requisites for the ACLS Provider Course::

- 1) Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider course certification: Online registration Click here to register

Pre-requisite for the ACLS Provider (Renewal / Recertification) Course:

- 1) Current BLS & ACLS Provider Certifications. Must be emailed to Courses@Canadian-Training.ca before course date.

**Please note if you register for a renewal course and are not eligible you will be charge a 10% cancellation fee.

- 2) Please email completed ACLS Pre-test and a copy of your current BLS Provider certification to Courses@Canadian-Training.ca before course date.

*Please be advised: Only active healthcare providers (whose training and scope of practice include a knowledge base encompassing the foundation of ACLS knowledge and skill), may enroll in the ACLS Provider course.

Completion Requirements:100% attendance plus students must pass a written exam and skills test in order to qualify for an ACLS Course Completion Card.

Certification: 2-Year ACLS Course Completion Card (E-Card).

Duration: Approximately 16 hours - 2 days for Provider course and 8 hours for Renewal course
