ACLS-EP Course (Advanced Cardiac Life Support - Experienced Provider) (Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada)
Description: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Experienced Provider (ACLS-EP) is a course designed for seasoned ACLS Healthcare Professionals. All Healthcare professionals working with complex cardiovascular, respiratory, and other emergencies should attend. Participants in this course should have a solid understanding of the core ACLS algorithms and value the importance of quality BLS for cardiac patients prior to enrolment. This course will provide a wider knowledge base, understanding, and an improved team leader capability when dealing with patients presenting with cardiac, respiratory, metabolic, and toxicological emergencies.
Prerequisite:The 2 following are required:
1) Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider course: Online registration at: www.Canadian-training.ca/training/courses#hs or by phone at: (204) 233-2328 ex 205
2) Please complete the following Pre-course assessment: https://www.classmarker.com/online-test/login/
*Please email completed ACLS-EP Pre-test and a copy of your current ACLS & BLS Provider certification to Sian@Canadian-Training.ca prior course date. CFAT does not cover the cost of the ACLS-EP pre-test.
***Please be advised: Only active healthcare providers whose training and scope of practice include a knowledge base encompassing the foundation of ACLS protocols, techniques, and skills may enrol in the ACLS-EP Course.
Completion Requirements: 100% attendance plus students must pass a written exam and skills test in order to qualify for an ACLS EP Course Completion Card.
Certification:2-Year ACLS-EP Course Completion Card (E-Card).
Duration: Approximately 8 hours - 1 day
