Standard First-­Aid w/ CPR Level HCP (Adult, Child, Infant), AED (Automated External Defibrillation) and BVM (Bag Valve Mask) - (Canadian Red Cross)

Description: This first-aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) course provides the skills needed to recognize and respond to cardiovascular emergencies and choking for Adults, Children and Infants. Includes training in the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) as well as first-aid (e.g. Cuts, scrapes, bleeds, bloody noses, fainting, seizures, how to use an Epipen, splinting, slinging, head, spine, neck injuries, environmental injuries and illnesses) among other things. Course suitable for workplace or general interest. Includes the latest CPR guidelines. Meets federal and a variety of provincial/territorial regulations for Standard First Aid and CPR. Exceeds competitors’ standards by including injury prevention content, CPR and AED.

Completion Requirements: 100% attendance, skills demonstration, and 75% min. passing grade on written exam.

Duration: Approximately 16 Hours.

Certification: 3­-year Canadian Red Cross Certification in Standard First Aid, CPR Level HCP and AED
