What We Attend To
Here is a list with some of the medical emergencies to which we are able to attend:
Non Life-threatening
We will be able to provide first-aid for the following non life-threatening situations:
- Bleeds (e.g. Nose)
- Wounds (e.g. bruises, cuts, scrapes, etc.)
- Burns (1st degree, sun, etc.)
- Heat Exhaustion
- Muscle strains
- Ankle sprains, etc.
- Eye injuries (i.e. dust, sand in the eye)
- Fainting
- Assisting w/ medications
- Diabetes (assisting with medications or administering sugar)
- Asthma assisting with puffers and aero chambers (asthmatics) and more
Life-threatening
We will be able to provide first-aid for the following life-threatening situations until EMS arrives:
- Severe bleeds (e.g. nose)
- Heat Stroke
- Severe Allergies – Anaphylaxis (Epipen or Twinject Administration)
- Shock (i.e. for any reason)
- Unconsciousness (i.e. for any reason)
- Artificial Respiration (AR) until EMS arrives
- Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) until EMS arrives
- Bone injuries (e.g. fractures) – Immobilize until EMS arrives
- Head injuries – Immobilize until EMS arrives
- Chest injuries (e.g. difficulty breathing will use Oxygen until EMS arrives)
- Assisting with medications (e.g. nitroglycerine, etc.)
- Diabetes (assisting with medications or administering sugar)
- Asthma assisting with puffers and aero-chambers (severe asthmatics)
- Convulsions (e.g. Epilepsy, head injuries, heat stroke, etc.) until EMS arrives
- Burns (2nd, 3rd degree burns e.g. “road rash”) and more…
